Day 2: Naming

We finally decided and agreed on the puppy names today! We all liked Lucy for one of the girls, and needed to come up with names for the other four boys and girl.

We started with names from Narnia. Peter, Edmond, Susan, Lucy all worked, but we couldn’t decide on the other two boys. Since we needed four boys, we went with names from the Beetles.

The oldest two boys are Paul (purple), and John (blue). The next boy is Ringo (green), and the last boy George (orange). Lucy (pink) and Judy (yellow) were named after the famous Beetles songs.

All is well here, happy and busy. Jessie is being patient, and is very busy feeding all the time. :)

Jessie & Pups - Video Debut!

Here is a short video Ann took of Jessie and the pups after delivery... they range from 2 to 8 hours old.

Hello, and welcome to our blog. Here, we will post pictures, video, and news about our three year-old, Norweigian Elkhound, Jessie, and our new puppies born June 27, 2009

Starting at 6:25 am, it's official, we have puppies. Jessie, did a great job delivering six happy and healthy puppies.










By 12 o'clock, mom and babies were resting peacefully. :)










To keep track of which puppy is which, we gave each puppy a colored ric rac collar. The boys are orange, green, blue, and purple, and the girls are pink and yellow. Of course, Jessie has a rainbow collar.
